Talent Acquisiton Manager

An amazing opportunity to join the Talent Acquisition team at The Walt Disney Company, based in our EMEA Head Office in Hammersmith, London.
This is a specialist shared service recruitment and talent acquisition role, reporting to the Head of Talent Acquisition, combining leading-edge recruitment methodologies and technology to deliver best in class talent for critical business needs
The key responsibility of the Talent Acquisition Manager is to lead on the delivery of agreed upon The Walt Disney Company recruitment objectives. Support is provided through provision of a quality driven, cost effective and timely recruitment service to the designated UK & Ireland business.
This includes advice and recommendations on the range of sourcing options, using the full range of options as appropriate to attract the best candidates for The Walt Disney Company.
They also need to business partner with Line Managers to manage the end to end recruitment service to ensure best in class practices through attraction, sourcing, assessment, selection and onboarding of candidates, to ensure that TWDC is viewed as an ‘Employer of Choice’.
ResponsibilitiesAreas of Responsibility
Recruitment

  • Responsible for the full life-cycle recruitment process creating the strategy for client engagement, strategy development, sourcing, screening, offer negotiation and onboarding
  • Decide on the most appropriate methodology including direct sourcing, branded advertising, agencies and exploring internal solutions
  • Proactively partner and lead relationship with Hiring Managers (at varying levels of seniority) to discuss and make recommendations on resourcing issues (temporary, permanent, fixed term) as well as looking at the most effective manner/way to source candidates (True Subject Matter Experts).
  • Acting as a trusted recruitment partner, taking ownership for the successful conclusion of projects, monitoring effectiveness of recruitment processes and suggests improvements as appropriate
  • Ensuring delivery of a service that is customer focused, value-add and cost effective
  • Work closely with the Head of Talent Acquisition to ensure a quality driven, cost effective and timely level of service to the business in order to fulfil their recruitment needs
  • Where appropriate Assist Hiring Managers in external agency or internal resourcing briefings and creating role specifications
  • Providing energetic, strong and creative leadership to the Talent Acquisition Resourcer
  • Manage their Talent Acquisition Resourcer in their delivery of agreed upon TWDC recruitment objectives, ensuring that they are sourcing direct and agency CVs and effectively short listing and interviewing candidates as required.
  • Development of the Resourcer as and when required ensuring that they are managing the end to end recruitment of a select number of roles.
  • Participates in candidate evaluation and selection process.
  • Maintains absolute client focus throughout the process.
  • Prepare job descriptions, competency profiles, selection and assessment toolkits and advertising copy that will appeal to the identified audience and accurately informs about Disney as a great place to work.
  • Ensuring the global recruitment system (Brassring Kenexa) and data processes are fully utilised and all records are kept up to date and accurate
  • Maintains smooth flow of admin throughout the recruitment process e.g. communication to client, candidate, payroll etc.
  • Responsible for quality of all related recruitment correspondence including all offers of employment through a small administration team


Internal Management

  • Develop strong relationships with key business clients across Disney including senior level leaders and senior HR Business Partners
  • Responsible for coaching Hiring Managers in best practise recruitment skills through one to one sessions as wells as varying degrees of support required throughout entire process, including supporting actively at decision making point
  • Fully responsible for the Redundancy Selection and Redeployment process for the Disney organisation including selection, supporting and challenging Managers on decisions and giving sensitive developmental feedback


Agency Management

  • Managing key supplier relationships across a variety of functions and contributing to supplier feedback and review
  • Managing and supporting other activities/initiatives on a project basis (eg Metrics/Reporting, Global Staffing Project, PSL Management

External Talent Management

  • Proactively engages with external talent and looks for opportunities to build a pipeline of talent.
  • Maintains relationships with sources and thought leaders in the sector
  • Build Disney employee branding, be a brand ambassador

Basic Qualifications

  • Ample demonstrable recruitment experience showing progressive responsibility in Corporate Recruitment
  • Proven experience of end to end process including ideally on boarding and induction
  • Experience of direct sourcing for talent, including interviewing, negotiating and closing offers
  • Demonstrable experience recruiting at all levels
  • Experience of sourcing and recruiting IT / Technology Roles would be advantageous
  • Sound experiences across other HR disciplines would be useful
  • Proven experience of influencing and persuading at all levels both internal clients and external suppliers
  • Demonstrated project leadership and management experience, including business case development and cross-functional collaboration
  • Experience of multi-national, fast-paced, progressive commercial organisations

Has the ability to develop others’ with regard to recruitment skills and knowledge base.
Competitive Intelligence – Utilises market research to develop tacit knowledge relative to the competitive landscape. Refines data into actionable information to target, identify, attract, and recruit top talent globally.
Relationship Building - Candidates, Customers, Vendors – Ability to develop and maintain candidate, business client, and vendor partnerships, internally and externally, especially through times of change and ambiguity. Demonstrates the highest professional business acumen that delivers an outstanding candidate acceptance rate, high customer service satisfaction, and successful, mutually beneficial vendor relationships.
Consultancy Skills - Ability to develop successful collaboration processes with candidates, all levels of the business, clients and external vendors by seeking input to establish common purpose and shared goals that deliver value to the candidates, clients, vendors and the business globally. Is viewed as a subject matter expert with a futurist mind and is able to challenge and change current approaches in a highly matrixed environment
Networking - Participates in local, national, and regional conferences, symposiums, think tanks, and recruitment associations in order to build significant human capital and professional networks to assist in delivering optimal recruitment and retention solutions globally
Global Collaboration - Ability to leverage technology to ensure on-going communication and partnering with global colleagues and vendors. Possesses cultural insight and has the ability to work within multiple cultures. Understands various cultural challenges when building global recruitment strategies across regions. Collaborates with key stakeholders continuously, globally. Adapts behaviour to mirror cultural differences.
End-to-End Recruitment Process – Possesses knowledge of the full life cycle of recruitment that delivers a competitive advantage to the Business, thereby producing superior outcomes that drive effective collaboration with candidates, business clients and vendors globally.
