Social Media Coordinator

LOCATIONS:

As the Social Media Coordinator (EMEA), you will assist with all elements of the EMEA social media strategy and execution. You will work across all major franchises that touch all lines of business, including Studios, Channels, Consumer Products, Disney Interactive, and more. This is a permanent role based in the Hammersmith head office.
You will work with more than 25 markets and various teams across EMEA on a daily basis. Your responsibilities will range from administrative tasks to key implementation of regional tools. You will need to provide some data and reporting, as well as ad-hoc analysis of various pages and campaigns, depending on current needs. You will need to have excellent coordination skills since the role will entail liaising with all markets and many different teams across the company.
The role will require a strong understanding of all social platforms. While this role will not incorporate social publishing, you should have a good understanding of social publishing, as well as an understanding of user behaviour. You will need to be an internal champion for social media making sure it’s used in a strategic, streamlined & integrated way.
You will need to develop an understanding of the key franchises you are working on and all projects specific to lines of business.
Flexibility is key since this role will require you to do many different types of tasks and work with many different people. It will be critical to effectively manage your time, prioritise activity and meet all deadlines. You may need to help create presentations, with assistance from senior members of the team.
You will need to work with agencies and external suppliers to provide effective and efficient solutions to all social teams across EMEA.
Areas of Responsibility:

  • Support all members of the EMEA social media team with administrative tasks and assist with content management
  • Support & liaise with territories in the distribution of social assets and implementation of regional campaigns
  • Work with agencies and third parties as required to deliver social initiatives
  • Work with tool providers to ensure tools are always working and help solve problems in the event of any bugs
  • Stay up to date with social media development - proactively research inventive creative executions, best practices & monitor other brand activity (both direct competitors and other socially innovative brands)
  • Work closely with the digital analytics team to guide the creation of meaningful reporting

Ideally what we need:

  • Ideally some experience working in social media or proven interest in the area
  • Basic understanding of marketing
  • Ideally experience using some social media tools (e.g. publishing, content distribution, analytics, buzz monitoring, workflow, etc.)
  • Ideally experience of working across some EMEA markets
  • Basic Photoshop design skills beneficial
  • An understanding of all major social platforms as well as emerging networks and related sites and apps
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Very strong attention to detail
  • Confident and assertive while being diplomatic and tactful
  • Resourceful and pro-active in approach - looks for solutions and information in creative ways
  • Team player, flexible and willing to adapt to help other members of the team
  • Professional manner and mature approach to dealing with various teams
  • Adaptable with working hours when required
  • European languages not required but beneficial
