Business Analyst

LOCATIONS:

We are seeking a Business Analyst, to join the Technology team supporting Disney Consumer Products based in Hammersmith on a permanent basis.
Disney Consumer Products (DCP) is the business segment of The Walt Disney Company that delivers innovative and engaging product experiences across thousands of categories from toys and apparel to books and fine art. ResponsibilitiesAs a Business Analyst, you will be a member of the Business Relationship Management function in The Walt Disney Company responsible for looking after EMEA stakeholders and their evolving technology needs.
The main areas covered are Business Applications for the Creative, Retail and Licencing teams and Business Intelligence for EMEA and you will be tasked with developing expertise in the customers’ strategies and business processes in order to suggest better solutions to support their objectives.
Key responsibilities will include:

  • Engaging with customers to gain a deep understanding of their businesses
  • Requirements capture, documentation and tracking
  • Work with multiple stakeholders across different business channels, markets and regions, on a wide range of projects and systems
  • Working closely with the development team to proactively suggest change in process and workflow in order to improve the efficiency of the customer
  • Acting as a Scrum Master for the development team while advocating an Agile methodology to our business partners
  • Ensuring risks and issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner
  • Providing a hands-on service to customer to ensure the smooth running of implementation projects
  • Providing business change management services
  • Producing compelling business cases to justify requirements and change requests
  • Scheduling and manage UAT and provide signoff in line with the project plan and predefined deadlines
  • Providing third-line support services for either financial or creative/retail applications
  • Providing training services to the customer (or other team members), including creating detailed documentation tailored to specific users and stakeholders

Basic QualificationsSuitable candidates will offer the following skills and experience:

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst in large, complex organisation
  • Demonstrable experience of working within Agile teams (eg Scrum)
  • Complete business analyst’s skill set including strong requirements gathering, documentation and analysis skills
  • Strong presentation and influencing skills
  • Excellent understanding of full project lifecycle
  • Experience of participating in substantial implementation projects
  • Experience of working across time zones and cultures
  • Recognised BA qualification
