Disney Enterprise Technology Engineering Services builds platform applications to all domestic and international brands across The Walt Disney Company, such as ESPN, ABC, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, Disney Studios, Disney Consumer Products. The Solutions Architecture group provides guidance on software architecture and security. This is a hands-on team, with opportunities to improve software engineering processes and experience that integrates with secure software development best practices.

Responsibilities

A Day in the Life…
As part of a dynamic team, you will work along side the security architect to implement secure software development lifecycle to ensure applications, web properties, and platforms are developed and deployed securely to provide the upmost protection to our customers’ data, The Walt Disney Company intellectual property and brand.
As a security intern, you will be contributing to the following:

  • Integrate security into software development lifecycle

  • Cloud security

  • Log analysis

  • Research into application security

  • Presentations and demos to management and team

Basic Qualifications

What we are looking for…

  • Passion for application and information security

  • Strong computer science and software engineering foundation

  • Detail oriented, self-driven

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Java and web technologies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Cloud services

  • Application and information security knowledge or experience

Required Education

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and taking at least one class, or be a recent graduate of an accredited college or university within the last six (6) months at time of application, or be currently participating in the Disney College Program, Disney Culinary Program or Disney Professional Internship Program

  • Junior or Senior of Computer Science degree, or equivalent achieved or in progress

Preferred Education

  • Masters candidates preferred

Additional Information

  • The approximate dates of this internship are May/June 2018 through early August/Sept 2018

  • Candidate must be available to work full time hours (approximately 40 hours per week) for the duration of the internship

  • Able to provide own housing and transportation in the Seattle, WA area

  • Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program

  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
