Financial Audit Internship, Corporate - Summer 2018

  • Assist Financial Audit Seniors and Managers with audit planning, fieldwork, documentation, and reporting tasks
  • Develop financial auditing, accounting, and general analytical skills
  • Work with Enterprise Resource Planning system (SAP) to extract data and perform analytics using Excel, Access, and other tools
  • Assist in preparation and presentation of various projects in assigned audit areas and provide solutions to problems as needed

Basic QualificationsWhat we are looking for…

  • General accounting and business process knowledge related to financial statements, revenue recognition, account reconciliation, amortization, etc.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis in Excel and Powerpoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to adapt behavior and approach to different people and situations, including working well independently and with teams
  • Maturity, self-confidence, and tactful assertiveness

Required Education

  • Undergraduate students in their Junior or Senior year, studying accounting, finance, business administration or other business related fields
  • GPA of a 3.3 or higher

Preferred Education

  • GPA of a 3.5 or higher

  • Must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within the past six (6) months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Current Active Disney cast members must meet Professional Internship transfer guidelines (for Walt Disney World cast members this is no more than four points and one reprimand in the last six months; for Disneyland cast members this is six months of consecutive service and a performance record clear of any disciplinary issues (warnings, suspensions, etc.) for at least six months)
  • Program Dates: Interns must be fully available from May/June 2018 through August 2018.
  • Required Materials: Resume and transcripts must be uploaded at time of online application.
  • Housing: Interns must provide their own housing for the duration of their internship program.
  • Transportation: Interns must have reliable transportation to get to and from work for the duration of their internship program.
  • All Interns should graduate within one year of the internship experience
  • All Interns should be pursuing or strongly considering a targeted talent development program upon graduation
  • All interns will be considered at the end of the summer for possible offers for the post-graduate (AFRP) program
