Manager, Finance & Strategy, WDI

Walt Disney International manages company-wide international financial performance and strategic initiatives across nine regions outside US and Canada.
The Manager will partner with international regions (primarily EMEA, India, and Russia), segments (primarily Studio, and Media Distribution), and various corporate groups (CFP&A, Controllership, Corporate Strategy, Corporate Brand Management, etc.) to prepare key financial deliverables and develop presentations regarding company’s international performance and initiatives. Responsibilities

  • Manage International AOP and/or Five Year Plan
  • Review and analyze key business drivers impacting operating performance for forecast, AOP, and Five Year Plan
  • Support preparation of forecasts (two per quarter)
  • Provide financial and decision support to WDI Senior Management, International regions and Segments
  • Coordinate cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders throughout the Company
  • Understand WDI planning systems (TM1 / Cornerstone), and differences between WDI consolidated reporting, international regions, and segments
  • Monitor global macro-economic and media industry trends to understand and summarize impact on Walt Disney International’s strategic initiatives
  • Ad hoc analysis / projects

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 4-6 years of progressive experience in finance and planning
  • Demonstrated experience with consolidation, budgeting, forecast planning and variance analysis for large complex organizations
  • Advanced proficiency in excel to perform financial modeling and quantitative analysis including business valuation, ROI and cost benefit analysis for large scale projects
  • Strong Power point and presentation skills
  • Strong research skills with knowledge of macro-economic and business research resources
  • Excellent communications skills (oral, written and business presentations)
  • Proven ability to lead teams and build relationships across the company
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management
  • Ability to work well in an international team-based environment and different time zones as needed
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to prioritize & handle multiple assignments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in the media/entertainment industry
  • Prior International exposure
  • Experience with reporting tools (Cognos and SAP would be a plus)

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting or other related field or equivalent work experience

Preferred Education

  • MBA and/or CPA preferred
