Business Affairs Internship, LucasFilm - Summer 2018

We have an opportunity for an intern in our Business Affairs group at Lucasfilm in San Francisco, CA, for the summer of 2018.
Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys in the preparation of legal contracts and documents.
  • Routes and tracks a variety of documents for internal review and approval.
  • Assist in review of clearance materials
  • Legal research projects
  • Maintain filing system

Basic Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal skills required
  • Proven ability to take initiative and manage multiple projects
  • Must be a team player, but also able to work independently
  • Demonstrate a high degree of discretion in regards to sensitive and/or confidential information

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio

Required Education Currently pursuing a JD at an accredited University (or recent graduate, within the past 6 months). Preferred Education

  • Successful completion of first year of law school and must be currently enrolled as a law student in an ABA accredited law school.
  • Completion of contracts coursework
  • Completion of an entertainment, copyright and/or intellectual property class is preferred

  • Must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) to participate in the internship program OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Must provide full work availability
  • Must provide own housing and transportation to/from work. Position is located in San Francisco, CA
  • Current Active Disney cast members must meet Professional Internship transfer guidelines (for Walt Disney World cast members this is no more than four points and one reprimand in the last six months; for Disneyland cast members this is six months of consecutive service and a performance record clear of any disciplinary issues (warnings, suspensions, etc.) for at least six months)
  • Unrestricted work authorization.
