Manager, Audience Development

LOCATIONS:

RESPONSIBILITIES
Internal Communications

  • Partner with social, digital and brand teams across Marvel to activate the network on behalf of priorities and upcoming initiatives
  • Ensure consistent communications and reporting, including campaign documentation, to business partners
  • Help develop and roll out audience and social reporting that can adapt to the needs of different divisions of the company
  • Represent the capabilities and expertise of the team at executive meetings.


Audience Planning

  • Work with internal teams to resource plan against business and franchise priorities
  • Set strategy for digital social strategists to execute. Constantly analyze the optimal mix of digital content for diverse audiences across social platforms, and work with strategists to execute smart content marketing and brand building campaigns, on limited budgets/resources
  • Participate in planning, development and management of long and short term content editorial and social media calendars


Audience Building Tactics

  • Develop and execute strategy for building digital audiences through internal marketing levers, including:
    • Email and newsletters
    • TV, Radio, and Mobile ad placements across larger The Walt Disney Company synergy system
    • SEO
    • BlueKai and Facebook pixel retargeting
    • Website placements

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years experience in digital marketing and/or audience development
  • Agency experience highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of how major social media networks operate (Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram, Pinterest, Snapchat, etc)
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics, Facebook Insights and Twitter analytics
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Healthy appetite for all things digital and a regular watch on what’s new
  • Highly organized and detail oriented with exceptional sense of accountability

Required Education BA or BS required, preferably with a background in Communications or Marketing Company Overview Marvel Entertainment, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company, is one of the world's most prominent character-based entertainment companies, built on a proven library of over 8,000 characters featured in a variety of media over seventy years.
