Technology Finance Intern, Studio – Summer 2018

The Studio Technology Finance and Planning intern will play a contributing role in financial planning, including helping to create and analyze Studio Technology financials, assisting this team to provide key stakeholders with the tools necessary to support decision making and various aspects of technology investment evaluation. This is a highly visible department dedicated to providing high quality financial information and services to our business partners within the Studio Technology organization. Financial Budgeting and Reporting

  • Working with the Technology team to develop the budget and forecasts
  • Assisting with the preparation of various monthly/quarterly/annual reports used in the analysis of financial results
  • Contributing to the creation of ad-hoc financial models/reports in Excel and/or Café
  • Aiding with cost management and communication of Technology-related charges for other Studio businesses, including inbound/outbound allocations
  • Identifying opportunities to optimize budgeting and planning tools


Technology Investment/Project Financial Management

  • Contributing to the preparation of reports to assist tech partners in project management (i.e., project time tracking)
  • Collecting periodic project statuses
  • Assisting in the creation of Project Authorization Requests (PARs) and Pro Forma Financials
  • Documenting and/or assisting with project benefits realization and post-mortem reviews

Basic QualificationsWe’re looking for…

  • Minimum 1 year of finance experience required
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical abilities
  • Highly collaborative with strong interpersonal and project management skills
  • Attention to detail, desire for accuracy, and a strong sense of urgency
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to quickly learn new concepts, solve problems, and implement solutions
  • Embraces teamwork; shares ideas / methods to improve performance

Required Education Required Education
Working toward or recently graduated with an undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field Company Overview Program Eligibility

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Unrestricted work authorization
  • Available full time for 12 weeks from May/June through August/September
  • Ability to provide own relocation, housing and transportation. Position is located in Burbank, CA.
  • Enrolled in an undergraduate program at a college/university taking at least one class in the semester prior to participation in the internship program, or recently graduated within six months at time of application
