Sr. iOS Engineer

The Movies Anywhere group at The Walt Disney Studios is looking for a full time Sr. iOS Engineer to join our iOS development team. This position will be participating in the overall system design and developing solutions that emphasize re-use and good design patterns and will work with a team of multi-disciplined engineers on creating the next generation of video consumption platforms Responsibilities

• Design, develop and support applications for the iOS mobile operating system following the best practices for that system
• Follow UI design guidelines to develop user interfaces that are intuitive, stable and responsive
• Develop working, readable, testable and maintainable source code
• Participate in setting the architectural direction for software development projects
• Stay current on mobile platform/device capabilities and traditional design & engineering disciplines
• Serve as a high level technical resource and “go-to” person for less experienced software engineers
• Maintain and continually expand upon expert knowledge of languages, tools, devices, applications, and the environments

Basic Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years of development experience with Objective-C, Swift, and iOS
• Experience and understanding of the iOS architecture
• Experience with building responsive UIs for iOS using Cocoa Touch
• Strong understanding of the Apple store and user interface guidelines and best practices
• Experience designing and building application with an emphasis on performance, scalability, high-reliability, and maintainability
• Strong understanding of multi-tier web architectures, OO design patterns and concepts
• Total comfort with light-weight and/or Agile development methodologies
• Superior creative and innovative problem-solving skills with passion for new technologies
• Experience in iOS unit tests and UI tests
• Experience working in a fast pace, continuous integration environment
• Having current application in the Apple Store is a plus
• Exposure to other mobile technologies like Android and FireTV is a plus
• Familiarity with UX/Design Technologies and Applications (Photoshop, Responsive
