Associate Project Manager - Localization

The Walt Disney Studios encompasses the creation, production, promotion, sales, acquisition and domestic and international distribution of live-action and animated motion pictures, home entertainment releases, live stage plays, and music and soundtrack recordings.
The Associate Project Manager will be responsible for day-to-day administration of localized assets for use in international markets. This person will be the main point of contact for Production Designers, vendors & territory offices as they will require regular updates and information. This job holder will meet negotiated milestone dates for their assigned titles by proactively identifying issues early in production. In addition, this job holder will need to propose solutions to issues and roadblocks that occur during production. Responsibilities

  • Creating milestone production dates in schedule
  • Provide regular updates on production status
  • Collaborate with internal design teams on creative guidance
  • Prepare and communicate production status to Manager
  • Create & maintain regular metrics on production performance
  • Ensure thorough, accurate & timely completion of assignments
  • Create accurate and timely purchase orders
  • Act as a liaison to local territory offices clients and vendors
  • Maintain effective communication with manager
    • 1. Inform of key issues as they arise
    • 2. Ensure delays/concerns are brought to senior management attention early
    • 3. Consider possible solutions when identifying problems
  • Is knowledgeable and realistic when balancing client demands with creative and qualitative integrity
  • Take Ownership of assigned production titles & providing solutions to workflow issues
  • Provide timely feedback to Manager on delays or challenges for all workflows
  • Uses a wide range and depth of technical or specialized expertise to resolve problems
  • Sees patterns that help to explain the root caused of complex problems
  • Applies creative, practical solutions to solve problems that are not obvious to others
  • Brings the right people together to address issues
  • Timely updates to statistical metrics
  • Develop self
  • Respond to constructive feedback
  • Present oneself in a profession and mature manner
  • Ad hoc projects on request independent of day-to-day management
  • Plays multiple roles on a team as needed

Basic Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Experience with production in a creative or production environment
  • Strong Interpersonal and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with International Markets
  • 5 years of Project Management experience
  • Knowledge of Disney Products
  • Previous experience in a Post Production environment
