VOD Content Editor

ABC News Digital is hiring a VOD Content Editor
The role of a video content editor includes clipping and distribution of ABC News video for digital platforms and clients. Content editors pivot from Avid editing to web tools for publishing. Must be able to work independently, pay attention to detail, and stay calm under high pressure scenarios. This is an afternoon/night position, but candidate should have flexible availability for potential weekend, morning, or overnight shift support.
Responsibilities

• Basic editing of news video on Avid
• Use of web tools to publish and distribute video content
• Organization of show rundowns and clearance information
• Metadata management
• Breaking news support
• Quality assurance of video content across digital platforms

Basic Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in digital video creation or distribution
• Avid Media Composer proficiency
• Experience working in a newsroom, or interest in journalism and current events
• Experience with CMS publishing
• Must be able to work independently and think critically in a high-stress environment
• Strong communication skills

Required Education

• BA or BS from a four year accredited college or university or equivalent work experience.
