ABC News Nightline is Hiring a Senior Producer
ABC News is responsible for all of the ABC Television Network’s news programming, including “World News Tonight with David Muir,” “Nightline,” “Good Morning America,” “20/20,” “This Week with George Stephanopoulos,” ABC News Radio, ABCNews.com, and satellite service NewsOne. An award-winning team provides the latest information and analysis of major events to bring viewers a big-picture understanding of the world.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include managing the editorial process, line producing, and generating new ideas for future content. Candidates must be able to effectively manage story assignments and show production in addition to supervising junior staff. Candidates should have a minimum of ten years’ experience in television journalism. Control room experience is required. The ideal candidate will offer creative and innovative ideas for better story-telling as well as have the ability to work under pressure and handle breaking news. Understanding of digital platforms and social media preferred. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and some holidays.
Basic Qualifications

• Min of 10 years’ experience in broadcast journalism
• Strong editorial judgment
• Line producing and control room experience
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and some holidays

Required Education

• 4 years undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience.
