ResponsibilitiesABC News Digital is seeking a Managing Editor - Live. This journalist will oversee the 24/7 live experience across all digital platforms.
This role will help determine how to catapult our video offerings forward into mobile-first, monetizable, shareable environments that showcase the power of ABC News journalism from around the world.
The candidate will be an exceptionally creative and effective producer — with experience producing special events and live breaking news stories viewed as livestreams or video-on-demand on broadcast and digital channels.
Collaboration and exceptional leadership skills are required. Control room experience is mandatory, as is a strong understanding and enthusiasm for the 24/7 rhythm of news.
The Managing Editor - Live must have the ability to meet and adapt to changing industry demands, be flexible and be able to balance multiple projects/priorities. Strong management and interpersonal skills are critical.
Basic Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of results-oriented work experience in a video production role, with a strong focus on live coverage
• Proven ability to build, manage and lead a team

Required Education

• BA or BS from a four year accredited college or university or equivalent experience
