Digital Technology Specialist

LOCATIONS:

WABC-TV, New York is looking for a Digital Technology Specialist. The candidate will be involved in nearly every technical aspect of creating and executing live television programs as well as content for social media platforms.
Responsibilities include implementing and maintaining major technical systems as well as production of live news, remote broadcasts, syndicated programming and social media events.
Basic Qualifications:
The candidate must demonstrate the ability to pivot and manage changing priorities and tight deadlines of the department. The successful candidate will possess strong information technology and networking skills and media over IP. The TV station runs a 24/7 operation and the candidate will be required to work non-traditional shifts, weekends and holidays and should have the ability to lift and carry equipment as necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge and experience with television studio production, video servers, broadcast automation systems, master control operations, and news room systems is preferred. Ability to effectively troubleshoot and diagnose broadcast facility technical issues and problems quickly and methodically.
Proficient in IT desktop support for Windows & MAC systems & Servers, software applications, local disk storage systems and virtual environments.
Preferred Education:
A degree in a technical related field, appropriate certifications, or equivalent experience preferred, but not required.
A minimum of 5 years of television experience preferred
