Associate Producer

ABC News Radio is Hiring an Associate producer
The Associate Producer (AP) works with a team of news content creators. This person is responsible for generating story ideas and managing audio content for distribution to broadcast and digital partners, writing news and lifestyle content for digital broadcast and online distribution, producing live radio coverage of breaking news, and generating story ideas.

Responsibilities

-Comfortable working in a live 24/7 news environment producing audio content for distribution to over 1600 ABC Radio affiliates across the country
-The Associate Producer is responsible for being fully engaged in all areas of ABC News coverage(national, international, politics, sports, entertainment) and for generating story ideas
-Engage with affiliates with regard to daily feeds, live hits, pool coverage and any other questions that may arise

Basic Qualifications
-Must have a minimum one year experience working in content creation/production
-Ability to rough cut edit on Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, AVID, or similar editing systems
-Must be willing to work flexible schedule including weekends, overnights, evenings, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications-Two or more years experience creating audio content distributed at a national level
-Ability to produce ready to air audio content on Adobe Audition, Pro Tools or similar editing system
-Demonstrated experience making editorial decisions
-Experience developing and producing podcasts
Required Education Degree from a four year accredited college or university or similar experience
