Manager - Music Production

LOCATIONS:

The Music Manager is responsible for multiple music productions and creative functions in a fast paced, high volume department. Ideal candidates will have a production and asset management background with a passion for music. Responsibilities

  • Supervise Music Production schedules for all Disney Junior series and pilots
  • Maintain a weekly “Song Production Spreadsheet” which tracks the music process for all Disney Junior projects
  • Coordinate all vocal and musician recording sessions including booking studio time and delivering all music elements to recording studio
  • Direct vocal sessions with talent as needed
  • Responsible for the delivery of all music deliverables to each TVA production including all song materials and underscore
  • Supervise trafficking of music deliverables from composers to post production facilities
  • Maintain TVA music digital archives and music library including Protools sessions, lyrics and final song stems
  • Responsible for the delivery of all music elements to DCVI for foreign translation
  • Oversee music deliverables to Disney Music Group, Franchise, Marketing and DCP
  • Interface with Walt Disney Music Publishing and oversee music cue sheet inquiries
  • Schedule and supervise music spotting sessions
  • Coordinate all music preview sessions with composers and showrunners
  • Review scripts for all episodes of each series and determine if there are any music related issues i.e. original songs needed/music licensing.
  • Research and track all Public Domain song requests insuring that any copyright used in Disney Junior productions are clear for use Worldwide in perpetuity
  • Responsible for attending all music recording sessions and insures that all music is recorded at the appropriate specs. and is delivered back to TVA in the proper format

Basic Qualifications

  • Strong leadership and proven project management skills
  • Self-starter with a creative and energetic approach
  • Ability to manage projects from development to completion
  • Great communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong music background
  • Knowledge of music production, theory, Protools, Finale, digital asset management and Excel a plus
