The DATG Finance and Planning team manages the overall consolidated financial reporting for DATG. In addition, the Planning team provides financial support to DATG’s shared services, which includes Digital Media, Broadcast Operations and Engineering and IT and other overhead functions.
The team’s intern will assist with financial planning and analysis for the Cable (excluding ESPN) and Broadcast Division of The Walt Disney Company, as it prepares its Annual Operating Plan (AOP). ResponsibilitiesA day in the life…
The intern will (among other duties):
-Serve on the team that supports the DATG CFO to provide segment-level insights and reporting for forecasting and planning cycles.
-Be an integral part of the team throughout the AOP process, from target setting to finalizing an FY19 P&L for the organization.
-Partner across multiple lines of business and functional areas to conduct analysis and provide insights surrounding growth drivers and risks and opportunities to the business.
-Contribute to the creation of the AOP presentation, which is delivered by the DATG CFO and Chairman to TWDC leadership.
-Support the preparation of presentations and ad hoc analyses for senior management. Basic QualificationsWhat you bring to the role:
-Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
-Proven skills utilizing MS Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
-Strong technical skills.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-First year MBA student with 3-5 years work experience; previous experience in an analytical function a plus.
-Deliverable-focused, strong work ethic, able to prioritize and resolve an array of issues simultaneously.
-Innovative orientation with a proactive approach to problem solving.
-Team-oriented, with an ability to work across various level of management and functional areas.
PLUS:
-All candidates must be eligible to work in the US.
-All candidates must be at least 18 years old.
-All students must currently be enrolled in an MBA program and taking at least one class – OR – be a recent graduate of an MBA program.
- All students must be available to work Monday through Friday 40 hours/week in Burbank, CA.
-All candidates must be available during the months of May/June through August/September for the Summer internship season.
-All candidates must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the session.
-All candidates must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship.
