The MBA summer intern will be a valued member of the ABC Entertainment & ABC Studios Strategy and Planning Team working on critical strategic and operational initiatives. The MBA summer intern will support the team by performing research, modeling and analysis to inform business decisions and develop recommendations on various strategic and operational initiatives. The Strategy and Planning team as a whole provides thought leadership to shape the future of ABC Entertainment and Studios. ResponsibilitiesA day in the life…
The team’s intern may (among other duties):
-Analyze business performance and build financial models with input from relevant departments and business leaders.
-Assist in creation of the annual operating plan for ABC Entertainment and ABC Studios, including building financial models and creating synthesized presentations for executive management.
-Partner with key executives to evaluate & assess new business ideas.
-Monitor industry trends and interpret the potential implications for the business.
-Work effectively with other executives and team members throughout DATG, as well as other groups within The Walt Disney Company.
Basic QualificationsWhat you bring to the role:
-Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
-Proven skills utilizing MS Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
-Minimum of 3 to 4 years of relevant prior work experience (e.g., consulting, strategic planning, investment banking, financial analysis, business development, and/or consumer research).
-Passion for the global media industry and Disney’s brands and franchises, and prior experience in the media and entertainment industry preferred.
-Strong analytics and financial modeling skills.
-Demonstrated ability to build visually compelling presentations, including communicating complex ideas and data sets graphically in an effective way.
-Strong sense of urgency and capability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
-Great agility and flexibility in strategic thinking and problem solving.
-Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with a variety of business partners.
-Must be comfortable working both independently and as a member of a collaborative team.
-All candidates must be eligible to work in the US.
-All candidates must be at least 18 years old.
-All students must currently be enrolled in an MBA program and taking at least one class – OR – be a recent graduate of an MBA program.
-All students must be available to work Monday through Friday 40 hours/week in Burbank, CA.
-All candidates must be available during the months of May/June through August/September for the Summer internship season.
-All candidates must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the session.
-All candidates must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship.
