Safety Specialist

Shanghai Disney Resort, the first Disney resort in mainland China, is a place where friends and families can escape together to a whole new world of fantasy, imagination, creativity, and adventure. The resort is home to the Shanghai Disneyland theme park, two themed hotels – Shanghai Disneyland Hotel and Toy Story Hotel, Disneytown, a large shopping, dining and entertainment venue, a Broadway-style theatre, Wishing Star Park and other outdoor recreation areas. Shanghai Disneyland is a Magic Kingdom-style theme park featuring classic Disney storytelling and characters but with authentic cultural touches and themes tailored specifically for the people of China. As we continue to grow and create this magical destination, we are looking for a variety of world-class professionals to help our plans take shape.
ResponsibilitiesThe system of operations is based on the SHDR’s core values known as the Four Keys, with Safety as its top priority. Safety acts to maintain the core value and achieve SHDR shared safety vision “No one gets hurt”.
Serve as the technical resource in assist the development and sustainment of safety programs of Shanghai Disney Resort, help LOBs implement them. The program is based on the regulation requirements, accepted good engineering practices and risks identified.
Serve as supervisor and helper to carry out the daily safety inspections, measure performance, identify hazards and assist LOBs to eliminate them.
Serve as trainer and promoter to carry out trainings, summarize lessons learnt and leverage them across the LOBs.
Serve as investigator to carry out incident investigations to identify improvement opportunities and help implement them.
Build and sustain relationship with stake holders.
Learn and sustain knowledge and know-hows. Share lessons learnt with team members.
Basic Qualifications5 + years of safety experience required in a related field (entertainment/theatrical, petro chemical, construction, maintenance, manufacturing, hospitality, transportation, distribution/warehouse)
Knowledge of local and international relevant regulatory and industry safety standards and best practices.
Chinese and English written, verbal basic skills
Office software skills
Capable of carry out daily safety inspections, measure performance, and assist LOBs to eliminate hazards.
Capable build long term relationship with stake holders and influence them effectively.
Learn and accumulate knowledge and know-hows, share with team members
Formal university degree in science
Preferred QualificationsChemical management experience
Show business safety experience
Special equipment management experience
Electric safety management experience
Data analysis and Trend prediction
Incident investigation
