Researcher,Consumer Insight

Shanghai Disney Resort, the first Disney resort in Mainland China, is a place where friends and families can escape together to a whole new world of fantasy, imagination, creativity and adventure. The resort is home to the Shanghai Disneyland theme park, featuring six lands, as well as two themed hotels – Shanghai Disneyland Hotel and Toy Story Hotel, Disneytown, a large shopping, dining and entertainment district, a Broadway-style theatre, Wishing Star Park and other outdoor recreation areas. Shanghai Disneyland is a Magic Kingdom-style theme park featuring classic Disney storytelling and characters but with authentic cultural touches and themes tailored specifically for the people of China. As we continue to develop this magical destination, we’re looking for a variety of world-class professionals including front line Cast Members and an innovative development team to help our plans take shape.
This position will deliver actionable insights to Shanghai Disney Resort (SHDR) marketing strategy/communication, sales, public affairs, finance, pricing/ticketing, operations, food and beverage, merchandise, entertainment, HR and Imagineering departments through guest research.
Responsibilities• Manage all phases of the market research projects, including needs identification, study design, questionnaire design, field work, analyses, and presentation of the final results.

  • Engage with stakeholders to assess research needs and clarify research objectives.
  • Propose study design and develop questionnaires/ discussion guides to effectively address specific research objectives.
  • Collaborate with in-house field work teams to in designing a field work strategy to ensure quality samples and field efficiency.
  • Cooperate with in-house technology team to implement the online survey and produce tabulations.
  • Conduct analyses to get at objective, clear, and actionable findings that allow top management to make fact-based decisions
  • Present key findings and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders and follow through.

• Ensure smooth and timely deliveries of regular tracking studies.
• Actively share consumer insights across different LOBs to ensure consumer perspectives are taken into considerations when designing strategies.
• Build and manage relationships with partners from different LOBs to better understand how consumer insight can help with business through research
Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree or above
  • Hands-on marketing researcher with 3 to 5+ years experiences in Marketing Research
  • Fluent in both Mandarin and English
  • Market research experienced preferred
  • Experience with SAS or SPSS preferred

  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Candidates with less relevant experience may be considered as the position of Associate Specialist; Candidates with strong relevant experience may be considered as the position of Senior Specialist
