Purchase Order Management Specialist

Shanghai Disney Resort, the first Disney resort in Mainland China, is a place where friends and families can escape together to a whole new world of fantasy, imagination, creativity and adventure. The resort is home to the Shanghai Disneyland theme park, featuring six lands, as well as two themed hotels – Shanghai Disneyland Hotel and Toy Story Hotel, Disneytown, a large shopping, dining and entertainment district, a Broadway-style theatre, Wishing Star Park and other outdoor recreation areas. Shanghai Disneyland is a Magic Kingdom-style theme park featuring classic Disney storytelling and characters but with authentic cultural touches and themes tailored specifically for the people of China. As we continue to develop this magical destination, we’re looking for a variety of world-class professionals including front line Cast Members and an innovative development team to help our plans take shape. ResponsibilitiesThis position is responsible for the Vendor Performance Program, including development, administration, documentation, training, vendor communications, and chargeback processing. This position is responsible for development and cost-effective application of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) capabilities to current Disney Theme Park Merchandise processes and continued consistency with industry standards. This includes Purchase Orders, Purchase Order Acknowledgments, Advanced Ship Notice technology, Purchase Order Revision processes, and enhanced SKU integrity/”buy” processes as related to Item Creation. This individual manages the relationship with the PO Presentment website third party provider, and is responsible for innovation and best practice achievements in the area of electronic commerce. Additionally, this position has responsibility for accountable for the timely and accurate input of Supplier and Item setup/maintenance and Purchase Order creation and maintenance, as well as, Pricing Maintenance. Primary partners for this role include Product Development, Planning, Sourcing, Distribution Services, Accounts Payable and GBTS(Global Business Technology Strategy).
Basic Qualifications

  • Maintain the supplier performance website for the order management portal
  • Manage the order and shipment information in the system and the communication with warehouse and logistics team
  • Purchase order revision upon business requests

Preferred Qualifications

  • College Degree or equivalent
  • Expertise in PC workstation hardware and software
  • Must be a positive, high-energy team player with a customer service focus
  • Proven detail orientation with strong logic and follow-through skills
  • Excellent English written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to effectively interact with all internal and external partners
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment
  • Capable of multi-tasking; Strong organization and work process skills
  • Excellent project planning and time management skills
  • Proven leadership skills, with ability to mentor, motivate and develop team members

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or Management fields or 3 years of experience in a merchandise management/systems related role
  • Full understanding of all processes within Shanghai Disney Resort Merchandise Line of Business
  • Knowledge of Oracle Retail software, POS systems/applications
