Associate Location Planning Specialist

Shanghai Disney Resort, the first Disney resort in Mainland China, will be a place where friends and family can escape together to a whole new world of fantasy, imagination, creativity and adventure. The resort will include a park designed in the rich tradition of Disneyland theme parks around the world with the uniqueness and beauty of China, two themed hotels, a large retail, dining and entertainment venue and an array of recreation facilities. The resort will be located in Pudong, Shanghai. As we create this magical destination, we’re looking for a variety of world-class professionals including front line Cast Members and an innovative development team to help our plans take shape.
ResponsibilitiesAssociate the validation and performance tracking of location merchandise strategies to achieve and/or exceed intended business results.
Basic Qualifications

• Help with developing and maintaining financial plans for AOP and Forecast by location/category
• Work with team partners to identify and validate business opportunities
• Associate tracking Area specific assortment needs and changes
• Assist in improving financial performance and enhance the show.
• Execute location projects according to timelines and communicate with all stakeholders
• Continually help with validating area space productivity through trend analysis
• Assist in preparing performance recap of all strategies executed
• Collaborate with Operations to ensure merchandise strategies are validated
• Execute floor set process base on strategies
• Help with preparing necessary reporting and facilitate location visits with all key strategic partners
• Partner with Store Operations to ensure area data integrity
• Help with reviewing weekly/monthly reporting and creating action plans to enhance business results
• Assist in financial variables to achieve or exceed financial goals

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficient in the following computer skills; Merchandise Planning related systems, financial planning and Microsoft office suite software
• Proficient in both written and spoken English and Mandarin.
• Desired education/experience: 4-year degree or equivalent, interest in business strategy and retail math
• Be able to demonstrate strong communication skills, both oral and written, as well as listening strengths
• Competency in associate executing merchandise adjacency plans that support both financial goals and profile of the location
• Excellent partnering skills
