Technical Project Manager

This position is for an experience project manager who is eager to play an integral role on the projects Management team for Shanghai Disney Resort. Primary responsibilities include managing the delivery and implementation of projects, project estimation and staffing. Coordinating with multiple development teams, projects and infrastructure teams to spearhead the projects planning/forecasting and oversee the development of multiple medium to large-scale content and e-commerce sites and mobile applications.
The candidate must have a solid background in managing IT projects using variety of tools as well as standardized management processes used in the IT industry. They must have good general knowledge of every aspect of the software development life cycle (SDLC), various applicable operating systems and software application or platforms, as well as various business functions and perspectives. The candidate must understand the technical infrastructure behind modern Web sites and other traditional infrastructures used to support large scale reservation and ecommerce systems.
Responsibilities

• Manage resource assignment, budget, scheduling, and scope prioritization
• Work through trade-offs when there are competing business demands
• Act as single-point-of-contact and serve as primary liaison between Product Management, Creative Development, Technology and vendors (when appropriate)
• Work with cross discipline team members to validate project assumptions and review individual project plans with senior leadership
• Insure all projects within channel are staying on schedule and budget
• Act as primary escalation path for any project-related issues for assigned projects
• Coordinate execution of the project across the Creative/User Experience, Technology, and Business Development teams
• Ensure proper documentation of scope of work with help from cross discipline functional leads
• Develop the project plan and schedule with cross discipline functional leads
• Ensure necessary steps to complete project is accounted for in project plan
• Clearly organize and forecast deliverables and dependencies
• Ensure proactive scheduling of all aspects of the project delivery
• Manage the full lifecycle of projects from requirements through launch
• Estimate resource needs with help from functional leads
• Manage day-to-day tasks and have in-depth involvement to allow for early identification of potential risks and issues in order to proactively mitigate impacts
• Manage project scope and execute change control when additional requests for features or functionality are made
• Manage project risks, issues, and next steps to ensure quality delivery
• Provide weekly status reports and regular updates to leadership and executive team
• Must be able to work under tight timetables and pressure situations

Basic Qualifications

• 4-7 years of relevant work experience with an online retailer, project management, business analysis and consulting experience is a plus (ideally in eCommerce, marketing, merchandising, or operations)
• 2-5 years Agile delivery experience
• Strong experience gathering and developing requirements from eCommerce solutions
• 1-2 years Mobile Application (iOS, Android) delivery experience
• Minimum 3 years of client management experience in successfully delivering internet solutions, preferably in a global client-service organization
• Accountability for large-scale projects
• Experienced multiple full lifecycle software deliveries from business development to final software acceptance
• Led teams with multiple discipline representation (including technology, creative, SEO, analytics, and strategy)
• Proven accomplishment as a driver of multiple projects
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and able to juggle, shift gears and maintain a sense of humor
• Proven track record managing individual project budgets and budget roll-up of multiple projects
• Strong leader and decision maker with at least 4 years of experience in leading large, multidisciplinary Web site teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Practiced in the basics of project management (estimation, project planning, resource planning, issue management, risk management, change management, communication planning)
• Manage the full project lifecycle from requirements to through launch
• Able to deliver under extreme deadlines and intense business environment
• Experience working with multiple creative and technical teams
• Excellent business communication, writing and interpersonal skills
• Proactive and solution-oriented when managing issues
• Comfortable when communicating with VP-level managers
• Practiced in negotiating with others in ways that result in win/win agreements and outcomes
• Demonstrated analysis/assessment capabilities
• Capable of coaching/mentoring and conflict management
