Lead Digital Producer

LOCATIONS:

The Production Operations team is accountable for the successful daily operation of the sites and apps during all hours (including nights, weekends and holidays when scheduled for on-call duty, or when emergent need arises), must aid in estimating the necessary funding and level of effort for minor to medium operations efforts and enhancements, make recommendations for best execution options, interact with business partners, product owners, and creative and technology team members to quickly turn around requests for changes, and build out pages and changes in the Content Management System (CMS). Requests can range from quick efforts such as copy and image swap-outs or vanity URL requests, to building new detail pages or new site sections, performing content entry for large projects, or troubleshooting issues on the websites. Level of effort for the types of requests usually ranges from one hour to six weeks of effort. The work occurs under the direction of Production leadership and more senior Producers, as well as working under direction of Product Managers for content and e-commerce website strategy best practices.
Responsibilities

  • Ensure integrity of the digital systems and information through implementation and maintenance of established system management practices, processes, and controls
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to ensure accountability for the operation of mobile apps that are functional 24/7; this includes serving as on-call on a scheduled basis, and could include at times responding to emergent situations when not the scheduled on-call
  • Drive the execution of requests across teams, including managing the full life cycle of operational requests and overseeing execution of work by resources
  • Partner with Product Management and Business Partners and advise them on detailing requirements for teams to efficiently and effectively execute on work
  • Partner with, assign work to, and motivate teams on a daily basis (in scrum meetings, planning and prioritization sessions, execution of work, and software releases)
  • Determine best approach and process to delivery (within appropriate protocols and requirements) with help of team members
  • Ensure proactive resourcing of appropriate team members based on scope and requirements, develop schedules to ensure timely completion of requests, and assign work
  • Perform object creation and some content entry in the CMS, including building out new pages/modals, getting assets, ensuring link integrity, and other tasks as needed (minimal portion of job)
  • Monitor request scope and execute change control when additional requests for features or functionality are made
  • Proactively identify and resolve or escalate any risk or conflicts; communicate status, release plans, and scope trade-off opportunities or decisions
  • Monitor billing of resources to ensure hours are billed appropriately
  • Respond as on-call on a rotating schedule to ensure websites and mobile apps are functional 24/7, and facilitate troubleshooting for issues
  • Identify solutions to implement requests within queue in a more efficient manner
  • Manage costs to budget, including labor forecasting and vendor costs; ensure all costs are appropriate, accurate, and timely
  • Provide weekly status reports and regular updates to the Production leadership
  • Interpret ongoing analytics in order to develop strategy to influence positive change for mobile app performance
  • Participate in or lead process improvement efforts across the department or multiple segments of the department as needed

Basic Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Digital Producer
  • Experience working in at least one of the following:
    • Understanding mobile app with responsibility for release activities, and experience with troubleshooting
    • Understanding of the software development process, particularly as it relates to app applications
    • Large, complex marketing sites with calendar, feature listings, faceted listing, and feeds from other systems
  • Experience partnering with and leading diverse teams from production, creative, product management, business, and technical disciplines
  • Experience estimating operational or project costs and level of effort required for each work request
  • Previous responsibility for monitoring and staying within budget constrains
  • Experience managing requests that include integration with multiple back-end systems
  • Experience documenting and estimating initiative requirements
  • Experience presenting complex messages clearly and succinctly to different audiences with varying level of product and technology knowledge.
  • Strong personal focus on guest/customer service with a drive to create and maintain a premium online guest experience
  • Superior organizational skills and ability to monitor, manage, and execute on a variety of tasks and efforts at differing stages of discovery and execution, handle a large request queue, and deliver in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to quickly apply past experience and judgment to plan future work, identify issues, and accomplish goals
  • Ability to negotiate and find a mutually beneficial result with multiple internal and external stakeholders; excellent expectations management and achievement of high client satisfaction ratings
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including experience presenting complex messages clearly and succinctly to different audiences with varying level of product and technology knowledge
  • Scrum Master certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4 to 7 years website delivery experience
  • Experience within the media/entertainment industry
  • Advanced knowledge of HTML and experience with complex Content Management Systems
  • Experience in Agile, Kanban, and continuous integration processes
  • Experience working with clients, business partners, and guests/customers
  • Strong comprehension skills to quickly absorb new concepts
  • Experience working with content management or similar systems for building and maintaining websites (including daily updates to copy, media, building out new pages, and troubleshooting)
  • Experience maintaining websites that integrate with multiple back-end systems
