Responsibilities

• Executes day to day maintenance tasks including problem determination and resolution, as well as root-cause analysis. Responsible for responding to live site issues and for executing software, platform, and configuration changes
• Ensures the use of performance data and historical metrics to effectively plan for growth needs, plan upgrades, migrations, and optimizations, new implementations, identify and resolve efficiency issues, and improve functionality, apply scripting automation for repetitive tasks
• Author, deploy, and maintain system, web site, application configuration management code and configuration and development of CI pipeline workflow
• Participates in the development of best practices including capacity planning, monitoring, configuration, security, historical metrics, recovery strategies, and migration strategies
• Provides and maintains documentation of systems architecture, troubleshooting and support guidelines, system metrics, project information and plans
• Provides support for integration testing, system testing, and load testing prior to the final release of new and upgraded products and services

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor degree holder in Computer Science or any other related disciplines
• At least 5 years of experience in supporting and deploying internet-based products or services
• Hand on experience on systems management and application deployment automation through authoring and maintenance of Ruby, Python, Perl, and shell scripting
• Solid experience in continuous integration pipeline development and support using tools like Bamboo
• Extensive knowledge in Chef, Puppet and CFEngine
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
