Director, Controllership

This position is an integral member of the Company where the job holder will devise strategies and contribute to Hong Kong Disneyland (HKDL)’s business growth.
The fundamental elements of the position include:

• Developing and maintaining effective and efficient financial systems and controls
• Safeguarding the strength of HKDL’s balance sheet, liquidity, and overall financial structure and flexibility
• Maintaining the highest level of integrity in all financial activities, operations, and reporting
• Committing to the ongoing development of financial cast throughout HKDL in preparation for positions of greater responsibility in finance or elsewhere in the company

Responsibilities

• Manage the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the Company’s Controllership functions
• Lead the team responsible for the accounting operations of the company, including the production of period financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk
• Lead the payroll operations team to ensure compliance with all contractual obligations and legislative requirements
• Increase the operational efficiency of the Company, detect and eliminate fraud and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
• Create and maintain business relationships with the Company’s auditors and the accounting and tax community, as well as other internal and external partners to ensure timely and accurate payroll and related reporting

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor degree holder in Accounting or Finance, with CPA qualification
• At least 10 years’ diverse financial management experience in public accounting, corporate financial management or controllership
• Experience in entertainment, theme park, vacation leisure industry, parks and resorts or MNC will be preferred
• Culturally sensitive and empathetic to the Company cultures as well as an appreciation for diversity and inclusion
• Excellent technical and leadership skills with the ability to define a clear vision and motivate others to achieve required goals
• Good project management skills to manage multiple functions and tasks, as well as to execution work plans efficiently and effectively
• Strong communication and construction influencing skills
• Good communication skills in English and Chinese, both written and verbal
