Associate Sales Manager, Travel Trade Sales (Japanese Speaking)

LOCATIONS:

Assist Sales Manager to achieve the agreed goals of admissions (theme park) and room-nights (3 hotels) from wholesalers; to maintain relationship and drive business from non-contracted travel agents in the responsible markets.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve admission and room-night targets by promoting the Company’s products and events among the travel trade in the assigned areas
  • Create market presence in different trade channels, formulate sales initiatives which contribute to the bottom-line and review timely on the distribution efficiency of existing account portfolio
  • Conduct regular trade education for local travel agents. Prepare reports, updated account information, trade and competitors’ intelligence
  • Assist Sales Manager in the execution of tactical promotions or advertising campaigns with key partners, in order to drive maximum revenue and exposure from the responsible sales area
  • Maintain cohesive business relationships with the Company’s trade partners including all key external parties such as local tourism bureaus, Hong Kong Tourism Board, airlines and other transportation providers

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree holder
  • “N2” or above in Japanese-Language Proficiency Test
  • At least 5 years’ working experience in business development or sales, preferably gained from tourism industry
  • Patience and negotiation skills to manage trade account portfolio in delivering business results
  • Interpersonal skills to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders
  • Fluent spoken and written English, Chinese and Japanese is required
  • Candidates with lesser experience would be considered for Specialist, Travel Trade Sales
