Sr Business Architect (Business Architecture, Six Sigma, DMAIC, Lean)

LOCATIONS:

The Sr Business Architect aligns strategic goals and objectives with decisions regarding products and services; partners and suppliers; organization; capabilities; and key technology initiatives. The Sr Business Architect works to develop an integrated view of the enterprise using a cohesive framework, and available industry standard techniques.
The Sr Business Architect reports into the senior manager, process and tools and works closely with teams to align technical solutions with business needs. The Sr Business Architect works with stakeholders at every level of the organization soliciting strategic requirements from senior leaders and executives, and supporting managers.
Responsibilities

  • Develops a business architecture strategy based on a situational awareness of various business scenarios, tools, processes and motivations.
  • Partners with key business stakeholders to develops future state vision, architectural roadmap (process and technology)
  • Capture the tactical and strategic enterprise goals that provide traceability through the organization and are mapped to metrics that provide ongoing governance.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing and improving business service capability and end-to-end processes.
  • Experience leveraging industry standard methodologies in the areas of Business Architecture, Business Process Management, Continuous Improvement, Business Process Outsourcing and/or Change Management.
  • Expertise in a variety of modeling techniques to capture process, business rules, requirements, information flow, etc. Examples include BPMN process models, use cases, class diagrams, state diagrams, fishbone diagrams, etc.
  • Present and communicate complex problems and recommended solutions to diverse audiences and executives.
  • Experience base-lining and quantifying current state business problems as well as constructing cost/benefit based solution recommendations.
  • Ability to envision future state business services/processes and to construct roadmaps representing evolution from current to future state
  • Assesses current technology environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement.
  • Serves as a futurist and a consultant as it relates to platform technologies and industry market trends.
  • Engages with selected technology vendors to gain insight into new technologies, services and solutions.
  • Leads evaluation and selection of technology, establishes standards and collaborates with departments to boost adopt.
  • Assesses technology industry and market trends, and determine their potential impact on the enterprise.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years supporting technologies related to; SAP, CAPPM, BI tools and Business Analytics.
  • The ability to recognize structural issues within the organization, functional interdependencies and cross-silo redundancies
  • The ability to apply architectural principles to business solutions
  • The ability to assimilate and correlate disconnected documentation and drawings, and articulate their collective relevance to the organization and to high-priority business issues
  • Experience using model-based representations that can be adjusted as required to collect, aggregate or disaggregate complex and conflicting information
  • The ability to visualize and create high-level models that can be used in future analysis to extend and mature the business architecture
  • Extensive experience planning and deploying both business and technology initiatives
  • Experience modeling business processes using a variety of tools and techniques
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization, including exceptional presentation skills
  • Expert level analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations, learn quickly and synthesize corresponding solutions, options and action plans.
  • Excellent negotiation abilities with customers, suppliers, peers and all levels of leadership.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Team player able to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others and move toward consensus. Strong situational analysis and decision-making abilities. Ability to think creatively and to drive innovation.
  • Ability to act as liaison conveying information needs of the business to delivery teams and data constraints to the business

Preferred Qualifications

  • Six Sigma Black Belt
  • LEAN
  • DMAIC experience

Required Education Bachelors Degree or equivalent relevant experience
