The Revenue Management & Analytics organization supports clients across Walt Disney Parks & Resorts including Ticketing, Resorts, Merchandise and Food & Beverage in the core competencies of yield management, revenue planning, forecasting, pricing, promotions and optimization. Candidates should have a natural curiosity to understand the "why" behind business performance, take a proactive role in problem-solving, be results oriented, be able to prioritize and be a team player in a collaborative environment.

ResponsibilitiesDay in the Life:

  • Preparing data and conducting analysis, streamlining the extraction and aggregation process
  • Analyzing data using statistical and visualization tools
  • Maintaining process and project documentation
  • Preparing client and end-user deliverables
  • By applying to this posting, you will support global Parks & Resorts on various initiatives with a focus on Asia sites. Your scope of work will cross all departments below within the Revenue Management & Analytics organization.
    • ​​Forecasting & Planning: Support the strategic and tactical objectives of global Parks & Resorts by providing operational and financial forecasts of park attendance and admission revenue, room nights and resort revenue, merchandise and food & beverage revenue
    • Pricing Strategy & Analytics: Provide strategic and financial analysis around the pricing of theme park tickets, hotel room nights, food & beverage and merchandise, including special promotional offers
    • Revenue Management: Perform analysis to optimize demand at an operational level for our theme park tickets and hotel rooms by working with business partners and sales teams

  • Candidates who successfully complete this internship at the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida must be open to a potential future job opportunity with the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort in Hong Kong OR Shanghai Disneyland Resort in Shanghai
  • Flexibility to specialize in one of the above areas and an openness to learning multiple disciplines within the Revenue Management & Analytics organization
  • Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving skills
  • Experience collecting and analyzing data and reporting on the results
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Power Point
  • Great partnering skills and the ability to handle confidential information
  • Strong attention to detail skill
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to perform in a rapidly changing business environment and manage multiple projects
  • Proficiency in English
  • Fluency in Cantonese or Mandarin
  • Authorized to work in the People's Republic of China AND/OR Hong Kong

Preferred Qualifications

  • Training in statistical techniques (regression, time series analysis, forecasting, Bayesian)
  • Experience using statistical tools such as SAS, R, SPSS
  • Programming experience with SQL and/or VBA
  • Experience using Tableau or other visualization tools

Required Education

  • Working towards (or recently graduated within 6 months) on a Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Operations Research, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or other analytical field
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher

  • Must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within the past six (6) months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
  • Must possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Current Active Disney cast members must meet Professional Internship transfer guidelines (for Walt Disney World cast members this is no more than four points and one reprimand in the last six months; for Disneyland cast members this is six months of consecutive service and a performance record clear of any disciplinary issues (warnings, suspensions, etc.) for at least six months)
  • Program Dates: Interns must be fully available from June 2018 through January 2019.
  • Required Materials: Resume and transcripts must be uploaded at time of online application.
  • Housing: A limited number of housing is available for Florida based participants. Interns are able to sign up for housing once they have accepted an internship offer.
  • Transportation: Interns must have reliable transportation to get to and from work for the duration of their internship program.
