Electronic Technician, Walt Disney World

Full-time opportunities exist for Electronic Technicians to join the Walt Disney World Facilities division. Successful individuals will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing the electronics, audio systems, and computer-networked systems associated with the world-famous Walt Disney World Resort® Attractions and facilities.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities of an Electronic Technician include performing corrective maintenance on a wide variety of electronic systems used for ride-and-show control. Basic Qualifications
- Recent experience - and excellent understanding of power-distribution systems up to 600 voltsAbility to set up and troubleshoot VFDs (variable-speed-motor controllers), PLCs, and audio-control devices
- Experience performing preventive and corrective maintenance on lighting systems, AC/DC motors, relay logic, hydraulic and pneumatic control circuits, and closed-loop servo systems
- Ability to demonstrate skills with associated electronic test equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Maintenance of factory/production systems
- Avionics/navigation systems
- Radar
- Audio systems
- Television or radio repair
Experience troubleshooting and repairing:
- RF circuits
- Power supplies
- Computer-circuit cards
Other desired qualifications:
- Ability to solder new components onto PCBsTechnical electrical and electronics competency
- Ability to read and understand detailed instructions, blueprints, flowcharts, schematics, and engineering documents
- Acute troubleshooting skills including knowledge of high and low voltage with an understanding of the National Electric Code
- Ability to use common hand tools, meters, gauges and other associated test and measurement equipment
- Ability to differentiate colors
- Experience working on/around high-efficiency equipment (i.e. Lasers, Xenon Lamps)
- Animation troubleshooting and repair
- Experience with ride-control systems
- Networking experience
- Knowledge of projection and theatrical lighting equipment
Preferred Education
- An Associate’s degree in Electronics or equivalent experience
