Be a part of a small team that leads efforts across Walt Disney Parks and Resorts to engage and inspire Guests to connect with nature.

  • Design consumer-facing content that shares Disney’s conservation, nature and animal stories throughout multiple business segments.
  • Plan and develop experiences that influence Walt Disney Parks and Resort Guests to increase the time they spend outdoors in nature.
  • Provide information and assistance to Animals, Science and Environment leadership through a variety of tasks such as data entry, digitizing files, researching source material and organizing shared tools and resources as related to The Walt Disney Company’s initiative to connect families to nature.

Basic Qualifications
What You Bring to the Role:

  • Experience utilizing computer design programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
  • Proven ability to develop engaging, accurate and concise written content
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal direction
  • A valid U.S. driver’s license.
  • Candidate must be willing and able to operate a company vehicle under inclement weather, including minimal lighting.

Preferred Qualifications

The Intern’s preferred qualifications include:
  • Previous multi-media design, creative writing and editing experience
  • Previous relevant experience interacting with the public in a formal or informal learning setting (i.e. zoo, aquarium, museum, science center or classroom)
  • Working knowledge of WordPress or other web editing software – including creating new webpages, editing existing pages and adding text and images
  • Successful completion of the Disney College Program, Disney Professional Internship Program or Disney Culinary Programs

Required Education Required Education:

  • Junior, senior or recent college graduate studying Life or Environmental Sciences, Education, Recreation, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Environmental Public Policy, Conservation or related major
  • Minimum grade point average of 3.0

Internship Eligibility:
• Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Professional Internship
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
• Must possess unrestricted work authorization
• Must provide full work availability
• Must provide own transportation to/from work
• Current Active Disney cast members must meet Professional Internship transfer guidelines (for Walt Disney World cast members this is no more than four points and one reprimand in the last six months; for Disneyland cast members this is six months of consecutive service and a performance record clear of any disciplinary issues (warnings, suspensions, etc.) for at least six months)
Program Length: The approximate dates of this internship are June 2018 - January 2019. Interns must be fully available for the duration of the internship.
Housing: A limited amount of company-sponsored housing is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
