Pool Technician - Full Time

A pool technician ensures the safety of all Guests, providing a safe and fun environment at all Pool locations by maintaining water quality and cleanliness. Partners with Maintenance and Custodial to meet the needs of Guests by providing exemplary Guest Service at various Recreation locations. Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety of Guests, may be a first responder to emergency situations
• Must be able to understand and measure pool water quality requirements; work with chemicals to assist with upkeep of pool water and cleanliness
• Meeting and greeting pool Guests
• Ability to safely work with and store hazardous chemicals
• Clearing pool deck of used towels, lifejackets, trash, vacuuming pool, and water quality readings
• Must be mechanically inclined; verifying the equipment in the pump room is functioning correctly, ability to work in a loud environment
• Partner with Engineering/Maintenance regarding pump maintenance
• Enforce policies, rules and regulations of the Recreation locations
  

Basic Qualifications

• Must be comfortable working around water
• Upon successful completion of training become Certified Pool Operator or Aquatic Facility Operator certified
• Strong written and verbal communication skills able to positively engage with Guests, team members and management
• Must be able to complete repetitive tasks while maintaining quality
• Responsible and mature
• Energetic and comfortable giving and taking feedback
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Must pass respirator physical and fit test for respirator

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Recreation or Resort environment
• Previous pool chemist or pool technician experience
• Knowledge of Hawaiian/Japanese language preferred

Additional Information

SCHEDULE AVAILABILTY
Our Resort operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and some shifts may start as early as 4:00 AM and vary as needed. Full-time requires full availability for any shift at any time, Sunday through Saturday.
