Content Strategist (Star Wars)


The Content Strategist is responsible for writing, developing, and editing content for and contributing to other channels in the Star Wars digital space. This includes production work, design, content planning, editing, content curation, writing in various and appropriate voices, and helping to develop editorial strategy. The ideal candidate is a creative, detail-oriented writer and editor with a strong understanding of platforms and trends in the digital landscape, and a strong knowledge and love of Star Wars. He/she can adapt quickly and hop from one project to the next with ease, and can thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Write, edit, and ideate content for, including blog posts, news releases, and more
  • Content creator management and recruitment
  • Pitch content ideas to creators and editorial team
  • Respond to content requests with original ideas
  • Contribute to overall editorial strategy of
  • Handle production work for blogs and site features, including story setup, design and image manipulation, SEO metadata, and more

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years editorial experience
  • Excellent writing and editing skills
  • Intermediate design/Photoshop skills
  • Passion for storytelling, listening to what the community has to say, and providing outstanding experiences in the digital space
  • Basic understanding of digital analytics and performance tracking
  • Knowledge of social and blog platforms
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new technology and content types
  • Polished in presentation and communication
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with exceptional sense of accountability
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and creative ideas in a fast-paced environment

Preferred QualificationsBA or BS required, preferably with a background in Journalism
