Associate Account Manager


The Associate Account Manager position requires the management of relationships and media programs with our top tier customer accounts and is also responsible for all online media planning, execution and delivery of our branded entertainment, cross media and highly integrated custom campaigns. This role is comprised of cultivating and maintaining successful relationships with agency and client personnel, including offering recommendations from a pre and post sale capacity to determine what elements are appropriately offered to clients. This position will manage efforts across functional areas within the organization such as Sales, Marketing, Inventory Management, Site Production and various technical teams to ensure that advertising customers have comprehensive support and service. The Associate Account Manager understands customer advertising priorities and strategies and is responsible for overall delivery against these goals.
The Associate Account Manager must be efficient and respond to customer and management requirements in a timely manner while at the same time being flexible and able to juggle multiple priorities. The Associate Account Manager must be well organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent oral and written communication skills. The Associate will demonstrate knowledge and understanding of relevant tools, applications and procedures.

  • Supports Account Managers and Sr. Account Managers on pre and post campaign related tasks
  • Pulls and analyzes campaign delivery, uncovers trends, strategizes opportunities for improvement and manages optimization process
  • Reviews inventory availability and reserves rotational media and sponsorships in DoubleClick ad serving system
  • Educates clients on Disney’s Ad Approvals process. Manages routings to Legal, Brand and Privacy stakeholders at the advertiser and creative level as it relates to COPPA and CARU. Manages Disney’s ad rules and blocking set up for YouTube platform.
  • Assist AMs on responding to RFPs, this may include filling out agency spec templates, ad placement deck creation and other collateral for submission
  • Leads the requesting, testing and uploading of creative assets
  • Partners with internal teams to provide input for custom reports, report packaging and campaign wrap up decks. Provides screenshots on accounts as required.
  • Understands client and/or agency business goals and builds strategic media plans as needed along with revision requests. Partners with sellers to manage client business and sets expectations around capabilities.
  • Engages with product teams as required for successful implementation of ad placements. Troubleshoots with Ad Production when technical issues arise.
  • For smaller list of accounts, acts as client’s main point of contact for pre and post-sales support
  • Leads revenue at risk analysis
  • Responsible for keeping track of live and upcoming campaigns and launch risks
  • Manages the syncing of SalesForce and DoubleClick data for pipeline organization
  • Project manages new monetization tactics, assisting with new vendor and product testing.
  • Owns special projects around seasonal packages and impression reach

Basic Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of Account Management or Sales experience in an online advertising organization required
  • Experience working directly with advertising agencies and/or clients either in person or remotely
  • Proven expertise in the online advertising industry including terminology and mechanics in Video, Mobile, Social, Native and Gaming App platforms
  • Experience with CPM, CPD, vCPM and CPE buying models as well as behavioral and re-targeting layers
  • Working knowledge of a variety of 3rd party ad servers and UIs: DoubleClick (XSM and DFP), SalesForce, Site Analytics Tools, Social APIs, etc., required
  • In-depth understanding of digital media trends surrounding IAB Rising Stars, new technologies, tracking capabilities and overall industry positioning for each
  • Background managing the development of custom advertising products and high impact units
  • Functional understanding of web technologies desirable
  • Working knowledge of rich media vendors desirable
  • Experience selling into third party platforms (YouTube, Facebook, etc.) a plus

  • Ability to adapt, evolve and grow with the business
  • Proven ability to adhere to a project plan to ensure that client commitments are delivered accurately, on time and within budget
  • Proven skills in problem-solving, follow-through, attention to detail and priority setting
