Revenue Analyst - 12 month FTC

LOCATIONS:

We are seeking a Revenue Accounting Analyst to join our Head Office finance team here at Disney on a 12 month fixed term basis.
The Revenue Accounting shared service centre manages Revenue Accounting for the Licensing Business of Disney Consumer Products throughout Europe Middle East & Africa. The team’s mission is to provide exceptional service to the Disney licensees and to Disney internal stakeholders through technical expertise in accounting, and international diversity.
The Revenue Analyst manages the full lifecycle for merchandise and publishing revenue accounting. This role works with the Disney Licensees, as well as category managers and finance, to process royalty statements and associated accounting entries. In addition, this role performs licensee account analysis and other value-added financial analyses.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Royalty Statement Processing

Collect, process, validate, and post royalties; identify unauthorized sales; and manage unprocessed revenue (due to unlicensed sales, etc). Ensure licensee reporting compliance. Partner with the Contract Administration team to ensure timely resolution of issues.

  • Post revenue-related accounting transactions

Post deferred advances, guarantees, shortfalls, audit findings, revenue recognition accruals, transfer fees, and CMF in line with Revenue Recognition Policy

  • Invoicing & Collection

Generate and send invoices; assist outside Credit & Collections partner with collections and disputes (account analysis and research)

  • Business Analysis

Review and calculate shortfalls and/or waivers, and create value-added licensee account analysis such as a licensee scorecard

  • Other

Perform ad-hoc request analysis, and participate in systems and process improvement projects. Provide pre-audit fieldwork support to the audit team.
About You
Suitable candidates will ideally possess the following skills and experience:
Essential

  • University degree or equivalent
  • Word, Excel, PowerPoint proficiency
  • Established experience within an accounting or finance role


Preferred

  • Fluency in core European language(s)
  • Qualified Accountant, or studying for professional qualification
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar
  • Knowledge of the licensing industry and royalties
  • Established experience within an accounting or finance role
  • Established experience of working within a Consumer Products or Retail environment
