Sr Software Engineer

Disney Interactive is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to support our catalog of mobile games available across the globe. The right candidate is good at solving problems and is detail-oriented. You will be a part of a team that is passionate about our products and want the best experience for our guests. When faced with an issue, you are equally comfortable investigating yourself as you are providing guidance to an external development team.
Responsibilities

• Maintain an up-to-date technical understanding of iOS and Android
• Support a multitude of code bases, platforms, and build environments
• Collaborate with project managers and external developers
• Provide hands-on debugging issues on live titles
• Maintain git repositories following best coding and branching practices
• Integrate and maintain products in build environment

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in game development
• Diverse technology experience, with preferences for the following languages/technologies:
  • C, C++, Obj-C, C#, Java
  • Unity on multiple platforms
• Working knowledge of HTML, XML, JSON
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent debugging skills
• Cross-platform game development (iOS, Android, etc.)
• Understanding of game engineering concepts such as server/client architectures, connectivity, asset and data management, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

• Shipped multiple mobile products
• Experience with Jenkins
• Experience with Android JNI
• Experience with PC and Console gaming

Required Education Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
