Project Manager (Project Hire)


The Project Manager is a highly visible project manager role in an agile, complex matrix organization. The Operations Manager is responsible for the day to day management and overall oversight and coordination of business deliverables related to a major high-profile project and event for Mickey Mouse. Responsibilities

  • Set project timelines as well as weekly and monthly deliverables to ensure all teams are on track, and ensure necessary approvals by agreed upon deadlines. Requires distribution of regular reports, recaps and updates
  • Manage an external marketing & creative agency, ensuring plans meet agreed upon timelines and budgets
  • Plan ongoing meetings with comprehensive agendas, ensuring consistent communication between internal teams including Central Creative, Product Development, Licensing, Events, Communications, Legal, Interactive/Digital, Archives and Animation Research
  • Track and manage sponsorship integrations
  • Liaise with Licensing Team to finalize product programs for on-site and E-Com
  • Manage necessary external vendors where required eg. Ticketing Agency
  • Prepare keynote presentations
  • Track and manage the project budget, coordinating prompt processing of invoices
  • Conduct industry research to provide key learnings and recommendations

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years prior marketing project management experience in a large, complex, fast-paced environment – corporate or agency
  • Experience managing large-scale events or activations, with multiple work streams and deadlines
  • Strong interest in the arts, pop culture and consumer products
  • Ideally marketing experience targeting the millennial consumer
  • Outstanding communication and collaboration skills
  • Proven ability to develop strong relationships and partnerships
  • Resourceful, innovative and responsive to change
  • Extremely organized, motivated, and detail oriented
  • Demonstrated bias towards action with a focus on getting things done and making things happen
  • Ability to focus on critical issues, while balancing and responding to competing priorities, as well as managing various stakeholder expectations
  • Presentation wizard, advanced skills in Keynote

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, operations, or related field strongly preferred
