Product Manager


The Publishing and Digital Media Product Management team is searching for a Product Manager that can guide the development of content driven experiences across our brands (Disney, Star Wars, Oh My Disney, Disney Style, Disney Family, Disney Baby, and Babble). The Product Manager will also contribute to the ongoing development of features to drive audience engagement, streamline content development, and increase revenue. The Product Manager will collaborate with stakeholders to define business requirements and will provide leadership to developers during execution. This role will also work closely with various teams across DCPI including Technology, Design/UX, Audience Development, Content, and Marketing to ensure our products fit within the wider business strategy and are operationally scalable. Responsibilities

  • Manage stakeholder relationships and communication as it relates to requirements, scoping, budget estimates, and feature delivery
  • Function as a key team member to develop new features with a focus on audience engagement and monetization. Drive implementation to completion in partnership with UX and Engineering
  • Demonstrate a willingness to experiment, iterate, and innovate. Lead A/B testing and user testing initiatives
  • Partner with cross functional internal teams on platform architecture and tools to ensure long term product viability
  • Collaborate with analysts and other PMs to drive detailed and thorough data analysis and present findings. Coordinate data-driven business and product decisions
  • Optimize and grow our content offerings in partnership with editorial and video teams especially focusing on scalability and efficiency
  • Understand our audience and be their voice within the company
  • Launch products within budget and on schedule. Activate products with clear documentation, training, and initial success measurement

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in Product Development of mobile/web applications, editorial or video content driven products, digital activities, or games
  • Familiar with digital media Content Management and Asset Management systems
  • Passion for using analytics, testing, and research to drive development and create products that users love
  • Experience collaborating with engineers on technical requirements and product design
  • Outstanding creativity, curiosity, and drive; self-motivated, excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving/troubleshooting skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with products that engage kids or support Digital Marketing and Social Engagement strategies
  • Outstanding visual presentation skills and ability to articulate business value and impact to executive leadership
  • Background in editorial or video content development
  • Experience in business insights or analytics, SQL reporting, and data visualization
  • iOS/Android Product Experience
  • Passion for Product and Software Development methodologies
