Licensing Associate (Project Hire)

LOCATIONS:

The Associate provides support for the Core and Emerging Business segments in order to meet or exceed predetermined revenue targets and growth objectives by managing a number of assigned system processes and special projects. ResponsibilitiesProduct Development:

  • Set-up line review with account managers and PD team where required
  • Liaise with Product Development team to ensure timely approval of products which may include: lead meetings, responding to questions related to OPA submission changes, GTL accuracy, product descriptions, executes merchandising plans, PR & marketing plans
  • Prepare product presentations including but not limited to internal line reviews, product showcases and licensee pitches
  • On Emerging Business segment, works with digital stakeholders to obtain content (ebooks, short form, MINTS, etc) along with obtaining necessary permissions, clearances and fulfillment of files

Forecast, Business and Pub Planning:

  • Obtain and review quarterly sales forecast and accrual information from account managers in order to build quarterly forecast and budget by inputting projections into Invision
  • Support strategy and business planning by providing analysis including POS, market share, consumer insights and trend research
  • Through Account Managers/Directors, ensure thoroughness and accuracy of PubPlanning into PubWorld and product descriptions

Retail, Sales and Marketing:

  • Provide all needed product and licensee information to the Integrated Retail Sales and marketing to support retail road shows, presentations, and property initiatives
  • Contribute to presentation planning with emphasis on building compelling decks, visually illustrating concepts/ideas and utilizing data for impact
  • Build effective presentations in Keynote/PowerPoint and Excel for a variety of purposes including line reviews, business and strategy updates, licensee briefings, concept pitches and retail buyer presentations

Team Support:

  • Supports Director(s) or Manager(s) with 1-2 assigned licensees through specific pubplanning, facilitating of assets, product development, resolving issues, reviewing/approving of submissions and promotion/advertising initiatives
  • Supports team and Director(s) in contract and amendment input flow (processing through Selectica system) and working in concert with accounting, finance and legal to ensure timely output and administration
  • Direct responsibility of special projects as assigned
  • Research and respond to licensee requests
  • Research and understand competitive landscape. Analyze and understand market trends, consumer trends, retailer and industry needs

  • High level of interest in licensing and willingness to learn
  • Highly proficient computer skills (Excel, Keynote, Powerpoint, etc)
  • Experience in Licensing and Content (Publishing and/or digital) a plus

Required Education

  • Bachelor's degree + 2 years related experience
