Brand and Product Management Administrator

The Brand and Product Management (BPM) team is a newly formed team responsible for coordinating and facilitating all aspects of the Product Development lifecycle, including licensee training and on-boarding, efficient processing of Product submissions in the Online Product Approval System (OPA), accurate capture of Product data and robust analytics, contractual compliance, and safety and manufacturing compliance. This role has high interaction with a broad array of Disney groups (Creative PD, Licensing, Finance, Legal, Credit and Collections, ILS, etc), as well as Disney’s licensees. The group also focuses on implementing efficient and effective systems and processes. Responsibilities

  • Manage internal and external stakeholder relationships
  • Manage a high volume of Product submissions, in various stages of development and approval, and ensure timely completion of required tasks at each stage of the Product development lifecycle
  • Escalate operational process issues in a timely manner when necessary
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend solutions

Basic Qualifications

  • Operational management of assigned workload within the product development work flow, data integrity, systems, and training
  • Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders such as Product Development, Creative Services, Business Affairs, Contract Administration, Licensees, Product Integrity and ILS to enforce defined product submission and approval processes
  • Collect, verify, complete product attributes including characters, product details, SKU# and UPC# for each product submission
  • Review every submission and facilitate/traffic through the entire PD process
  • Confirm accurate completion of each product submission
  • Prevent submissions lacking required data points e.g. character, article description, etc. from going to our PD teams
  • Reject speculative submissions and train licensees to reduce those submissions
  • Follow up on inactive submissions
  • Recommend systemic enhancements to support new attributes and process requirements based on day-to-day observations and needs
  • Provide timely issue communication and escalation to BPM management and facilitate visibility to the status of submissions in process

Preferred Qualifications

  • Must possess strong quantitative and analytical skills combined with solid business and financial acumen
  • Strong relationship building skills and a highly professional “client service orientation”
  • Must be able to interact with all levels of management
  • Must be an excellent team player who possesses solid interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Excellent communicator in both oral and written settings
  • High energy level; strong work ethic
  • Self-driven, independent thinker
  • Results-oriented, decisive
  • Exhibit a willingness to be adaptable and flexible, and demonstrate a desire to operate in a dynamic environment
  • Minimum two years’ experience in related field, or equivalent experience
  • Work experience within the entertainment industry would be considered a strong plus

Required Education

  • Must possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
